Young people call for urgent action at the Global Disability Summit

Young people with disabilities from around the world are calling for attendees at the Global Disability Summit to involve them in development and decision-making.

In collaboration with Sightsavers’ Equal World disability rights campaign and the International Disability Alliance, the youth call to action urges governments, organisations and global decision-makers to take meaningful steps towards creating a more equal world, by making sure young people with disabilities are consulted and considered in commitments made at the summit and beyond.

Officially launched during the Global Disability Summit from 2-3 April in Berlin, the call to action is designed to foster a sense of ownership and participation among young people with disabilities, enabling them to drive meaningful change. Anyone can sign the call to demonstrate their support for the key message of inclusive development for people with disabilities.

Find out more about the call to action on the International Disability Alliance website.

What is the Global Disability Summit?

The summit aims to improve the lives of people with disabilities by driving international action on disability inclusion.
